All burns within the Town of Eagar must be called in to our Dispatch Center in St. Johns at (928) 337-4321, ext 2 prior to starting the burn.
The Town of Eagar requires all individuals to obtain a Burn Permit when burning between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Burn Permits can be downloaded below and filled out. Permits are not valid until sign by an Official from the Town of Eagar. Signatures and burn permits can be obtained at the Fire Department or the Police Department during normal business hours. If no one is available, a Police Officer can issue or sign a Burn Permit. Contact the On Duty Officer by calling our Dispatch Center (928) 337-4321, ext 2.
All burns that can be completed before 10:00 a.m. or started after 5:00 p.m. do not require a burn permit.
The Department does conduct Prescribed Burns when weather, time and manpower allow. Permits are reviewed when received and owners will be contacted prior to burn. Requests must be made by the property owner or legal representative.
