The Mission of the Round Valley Fire & Medical Department is to protect and enhance the quality of life for the residents and visitors of our community. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of fire suppression, emergency medical services, and public safety education. Through teamwork, professionalism, and continuous training, we strive to be responsive, efficient, and effective in our daily services. Our goal is to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals in times of emergency and crisis.

On Tuesday, February 25, 2025, the voting members of the White Mountain Fire Coordinating Group convened to access current forest conditions and weather patterns throughout the region. The members voted to recommend the enactment of Stage 1 Fire Restrictions in the unincorporated areas of Apache and Navajo Counties on Friday, February 28th, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. Several other agencies, including the USFS Apache-Sitgreaves Forests, Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management, and select municipalities, will also implement similar restrictions.
